About

Franz von Fein was founded by two long-time friends who have known each other since their school days in their hometown of Tübingen. Although their journeys took them across the globe over the years, they always found themselves drawn back to the south of Germany. One ventured to Japan and China, while the other explored various parts of Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Each place they lived introduced them to new culinary and beverage traditions. They experienced the diversity of teas and herbs during tea ceremonies in China, learned the art of precision from sushi chefs in Japan, marveled at surprising flavor combinations in Southeast Asia, and were impressed by the intensity of spices in Latin America.

Upon their return to Germany, they began experimenting with a variety of ingredients. Their vision was to create a non-alcoholic aperitif that would offer a complex and sophisticated drink experience, introducing a completely new flavor profile. Through their family-owned manufactory, they were able to draw on more than 15 years of experience in beverage production. It took years from the initial concept to the final product, with countless late-night experiments, to perfect the Franz von Fein Aperitif.
